Modern Masters Photography Show

Modmastersad_finalThe desert art scene, which is becoming ever more in tune with the contemporary art world, is reflected in Modern Masters Fine Art’s shift toward emerging and mid-career artists. The 5,000-square-foot-gallery will feature revolving, thematic shows in addition to permanent installations of important Modern works by Claes Oldenberg, Arman, Picasso, and Matisse, as well as works in glass and sculpture.

The Art of Food & Wine Palm Desert is a unique four-day celebration attracting thousands of art and culinary enthusiasts from across California and around the country to enjoy the very best in art, food and wine education and hospitality.

Sam Harris at the Annenberg Theater

On November 8th at 8 p.m. at the Annenberg Theater, singer/performer Sam Harris will star in SAM! a one-man show featuring standards, pop hits and his keen sense of humor. For more than two decades, his career has run the gamut from singer- songwriter to actor on Broadway, film and television to writer, director and producer. 1st Desert Cities Public Arts Forum

ImagesThe City of Palm Desert has always been progressive in its Public Art efforts. They have recently announced that they will host the 1st Desert Cities Public Arts Forum in April of 2008 featuring talks and panel sessions on Facing Public Art Challenges and Finding Solutions. Keynote speakers will feature Jessica Cusick, Cultural Affairs Manager for the City of Santa Monica and Cliff Garten, a professional public artist from the city of Los Angeles. Michael Dougherty: Season's Bleedings @ M Modern
