Born and raised in Canada, Randolph has lived in California almost half his life. He is a dual citizen and lives in Palm Springs. He studied theatre and English literature at Montreal’s McGill University, and has been writing poetry for 30 years. He was involved in the literary scenes in Vancouver and Santa Barbara before moving here. In Vancouver, he wrote and directed several plays, and both there and since coming to the States has had pieces published in several literary magazines. In Santa Barbara, he did readings of his work on community cable television, in addition to being involved in numerous solo and group readings. Since arriving in Palm Springs, Randolph has been involved with the Desert Pride Community Center, where he twice co-produced the art auction benefit, “Tasty Plateful”. He has published four chapbooks, and plans to release another collection of poetry in 2008, as well as a memoir. Randolph publishes and co-edits(with Lee Balan) “The Intriguist”, a grassroots literary journal, which will put out its fifth issue shortly. He says, “I think it is of utmost importance that we writers and artists support each other, partly because there is a much larger segment of the general population than us that will not support us. Our common goal is to share and foster thought and creativity, and always to make it fun and empowering to do so. ”

“A poet’s work is to name the unnamable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world, and stop its going to sleep.” Salman Rushdie
