(Rancho Mirage, CA)—June 22, 2009—On July 22, 2009 two noted valley therapists will begin The Right To Write – a four week workshop inspired by the popular book by the same name by Artist’s Way creator Julia Cameron.
Carol Teitelbaum, LMFT and Deborah Meints, LMFT will co-facilitate the workshop designed to help people explore the world of writing or escape existing creative blocks through expressive exercises and a journey into literature, poetry and music, designed to awaken the creative spirit.
“Writing connects the heart to the hand,” says Teitelbaum. “Learning to express one’s self upon the page leads to a grounded sense of well being and can open up rooms to the subconscious where one can find limitless riches.”
The workshop begins on July 22nd from 6-8 p.m. and ensues over the course of four weeks at Carol Teitelbaum’s office located at 41-750 Rancho Las Palmas Drive, D-2, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Participation costs $180 and anyone can attend by calling 760-346-4606.
Brother Andy at Barnes & Noble
The Valley Voices of the Muse presents Brother Andy at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Palm Desert, Friday, May 2nd at 6 p.m. “Brother Andy” (A.K.A. Andy Neal) is an artist, published poet, and photographer. He calls himself an “Intriguist” and he is launching a new art movement with a website and online magazine. Andy is a professional performer with over twenty years experience creating characters for the stage and screen. In this rare public appearance, Andy will dramatize selections of poetry and fiction. He will introduce a discussion on the evolution of media. This is a free event at Barnes & Noble in the Westfield Center, 72-840 “111” Highway, #425. Author Greg Niemann will discuss his book Palm Springs Legends: Creation of a Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. in The Learning Center (TLC) at the Palm Springs Public Library. He is the author of several other books including Baja Legends and Big Brown: the Untold Story of UPS. The Palm Springs Public Library is located at 300 S.
